Training
Fetch Pet Services prides itself on being able to provide owners with all the help they need with their pets. Be it cats, dogs or even reptiles, we would like to help you help them.
Consulting you and your pet
All training sessions will be organised once a full initial consultation has been done. This is a free of charge service which allows the trainer to come to your house and find out from you what the problem may be. They will take notes and discuss with you what they think they can do.
Once the trainer has completed the consult they will then write an action plan out for you to follow so you know what is happening with your dog. If there is more than one person in the house that is responsible for your pet then the trainer will happy provide additional action plans for everyone to follow. Training handouts will also be given so you know a bit more about why your dog is doing as he wants.
Training sessions and advice
Training sessions can be from 30 mintues up to an hour at any one time and can be carried out for as long as is needed. If you are also a dog walking client then we offer the option of your dog walker to carry on the training plan whilst he is in our care.
All training methods use positive based rewards and items such as spray collars and shock collars are not used. We can help you with any dog problem ranging from pulling on the lead, being left alone, destruction issues, lead frustration to dog socialisation. We are also able to offer help for your cats also in regards to house training and coping with changes in her life. This advice can be for the simplest of things such as grooming advice (when to flea treat your animal, how to clip his nails, how to groom him) to such things as how to introduce a new pet into a household with already established animals.
We are also able to offer advice on what to think about before getting a new puppy or kitten and even how to introduce your new baby to the furry members of your family. As part of our free advice service, we are now offering kitten, puppy and rabbit starter information packs that contain information about how to care for them, neutering information and fact/behaviour sheets. Please contact us to request one of these information packs for your new pet and we'll post one to you.
